Local Government Devolution

Land Line Switch-off

Telephone landlines are due to be switched off in this area by the end of January 2027.  Ask your provider when your area is scheduled. Check if your home phone will still work as most older corded phones that plug directly into the wall socket will not work on the new digital network without an adapter. Many providers will supply a new phone free of charge, or replace your handset. You will also need to check your burglar alarm and any medical or personal alarms. Check for information on your phone provider website and make sure you get help if you need to.
